An old world tour, solo, without stopover, without assistance with the same means as in 1968! The longest sporting event in the world (30,000 miles)!
A unique challenge, pure and hard: the return to the golden age of sailing alone. A tribute to the traditional values of sailing.
23 skippers, from 13 nationalities, ready to live an adventure of more than 200 days, cut off from the world, using the sextant.
The sailors will follow a very simple route: the boats will leave the port of Sables d'Olonne to go around the world by the five great capes and join the Sables d'Olonne again, without stopover.
From August 20th, a Village in the Vendée Globe Marina to share the adventure and celebrate the history of single-handed sailing, around the skippers and their boats.
