Marc Berthoumieux brings us his new project Les Choses de la Vie, accompanied by a live album recorded during a previous tour and just released in 2022.

This album received the same warm welcome and the same accolade as his previous album, Les Couleurs d'ici - Live, which was awarded four stars by Jazz Magazine. With the talented Giovanni Mirabassi and Laurent Vernerey, his accomplices for over fifteen years, the accordionist is back on the road with gusto.

For the accordionist, the trio is the group where freedom of expression is best asserted. Listening and the relationship with the other are balanced with the greatest harmony. They revisit the repertoire of their album 'In Other Word', with themes by Michel Petrucciani, Pat Metheny, Sting and Elton John, as well as Philippe Sarde's timeless melody for the film Les Choses de la Vie, which gives the title to this new opus. It's a safe bet that other key tracks from his previous albums will be included in the setlist for an unexpected reworking of this magic formula!
