Should we deprive ourselves of the pleasure of playing an entire repertoire from the history of music just because it wasn't originally written for the trumpet? It was in response to this question that Romain LELEU founded his ensemble in 2010, where trumpet and string quintet combine their sounds in perfect alchemy.

Starting with a blank page, the 6 accomplices, all of whom have played with some of France's leading orchestras and quartets, have charted their own course.

With his luminous, virtuoso playing and unstoppable technique, he has been named Révélation Classique de l'Adami, winner of the Fondation d'entreprise Banque Populaire, the Fondation SAFRAN pour la Musique and the Prix de la Fondation Del Duca de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts. He was also voted 'Instrumental Soloist of the Year' at the 2009 Victoires de la Musique Classique awards.
