LES SABLES-D'OLONNE

About

Incidence Chorégraphique was created 15 years ago as an alternative space for dancers from the Paris Opera to experiment and explore new creative possibilities outside the walls of the Opera.

In this fast-paced programme, excerpts from the great classical ballets follow on from ballets by contemporary choreographers. A great divide between the classical works of yesterday and today.

Combining virtuosity and the exploration of a new artistic language, the dancers from this legendary institution will link fluid, light and fleeting movements in a singular and irreproachable mastery.

An unmissable event with tutus, grand pas de deux and emblematic costumes, as well as some of today's finest creations.

With dancers from the Paris Opera.

Programme :
The Nutcracker
by Marius Petipa to music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
In Act II, Clara and the Prince find themselves in the "Kingdom of Sweets", where the Sugar Plum Fairy has organised a great dance extravaganza. Incidence Chorégraphique presents this colourful extract.

Opus 27
Florent Mélac (2017)
A piece conceived as an emotional ballad in which we can see the intimate sphere of a couple travelling in a warm and cottony universe, guided by musicality.

Cinderella
by Marius Petitpa, to music by Serge Prokofiev - Pas de deux, Act II
At the ball, Cinderella falls in love with the Prince. She stays until midnight, when the spell wears off. She leaves behind her slipper, which the Prince will use to find her.

Esmeralda
by Jules Perrot, with music by Cesare Pugni - Pas de deux
Created in 1844 and inspired by Victor Hugo's novel Notre-Dame de Paris, Esmeralda is a ballet in three acts. Today, the ballet in its entirety is only performed in Russia and Eastern Europe, unlike this pas de deux, which is an excerpt and has become a famous bravura piece performed by the world's greatest stars.

1827
1st creation by Yvon Demol, to music by Franz Schubert
1827 is the year the score was composed, and this choreography is intended as a pure expression of Schubert's music: a setting in motion of the piece. Free from any space-time framework or imposed narrative, the spectator can let himself be carried away by the power of Schubert's music, sublimated by the choreography.

Numbered seats.
