RENCONTRES SURF ET CULTURES

The Surf & Cultures meetings are back in 2024 with the theme "Surf, economy and territories".

In this year of the Vendée Globe, the impact of nautical activities on the economy and tourism is being highlighted more than ever. As part of the "Surf and Cultures" conference, ESTHUA wanted to put these themes into perspective, this time in relation to the surfing industry, by bringing together professionals from the industry and local elected representatives. These guests will provide a forum for constructive debate on this key issue for the development of coastal areas.

The aim of the meeting is to examine the relationship between surfing and economic development from a regional perspective. The round table will feature Zoé ZADOUROFF (Eurosima), Karen ALLETRU (Vendée Tourisme), François APPLAGNAT (Basque Invest), and other speakers still to be announced.

The ecological issue will obviously be at the heart of the discussions. There will also be exhibitors such as innovative shapers (boards made from mushrooms, etc.) and artists committed to protecting the marine environment (photographers, etc.).

The Surf & Cultures event will be open to all and will be broadcast live on the internet.
The reception will start at 4pm, followed by the round table at 4.30pm and a time for discussion over a buffet.
